Job Title:  Regional Marketing Specialist

Role Type/Duration: Direct Hire

Location:  Chicago, IL (prefers 2 days/week onsite)

Compensation: $65,000-$75,000

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives across the organization, with a primary focus on providing local-level field marketing support Petcare hospitals. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, this position requires an experienced individual with strong communication, marketing, and creative skills, as well as an exceptional ability to adapt to the ever-changing marketing landscape and develop news skills as needed. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-service field marketing support for hospitals located within assigned region
  • Must have experience managing various accounts/clients
  • Collaborate with hospital leaders, Regional Operations partners, vendor/agency partners, and other BRP corporate colleagues to effectively implement marketing strategies at the local hospital level
  • Serve as a graphic design resource for hospital-level creative projects, including but not limited to the development and creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, social media graphics, business cards, etc
  • Assist in development of social media strategies and management of local content calendars for assigned hospitals
  • Conduct regular research to understand local market conditions, consumer behavior, competition, opportunities, and industry trends within the designated region
  • Manage rebrand and brand revision projects for assigned hospitals
  • Assist in setup and management of digital ads for assigned hospitals
  • Assist in planning and coordinating of local events within region, trade shows, and promotional activities to enhance local hospital brand visibility and engagement
  • Generate written and creative content as needed for local and enterprise-level initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of local marketing campaigns and initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed to optimize results and shape future marketing strategies
  • Assist hospital leaders in management of local marketing budget
  • Assist in implementation and management of enterprise-wide integrated marketing campaigns
  • Maintain awareness of best practice marketing techniques/tools to achieve successful campaigns and promotions
  • Manage various marketing projects with ability to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines and communicate and distribute project information to relevant stakeholders
  • Continuously seek new opportunities to strengthen brand awareness and build industry-related relationships within community
  • Serve as a resource for hospital leaders and corporate team members seeking marketing-related guidance, ensuring marketing and communication needs are addressed
  • Act as company representative at industry events, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; or 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a marketing role (internships will not serve as a substitute for this requirement)
  • Experience in marketing role focused on regional or local marketing strategies
  • Must have a minimum of three years of experience working in a marketing role (internships will not serve as a substitute for this requirement)
  • Strong graphic design, writing/editing and creative skills
  • Ability to provide a portfolio of previous creative work
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Graphic design skills, with experience working with Adobe CC and Canva
  • Experience managing business social media pages
  • Working knowledge of common marketing and analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of project management tools, such as Monday and Basecamp
  • Exceptional writing skills, including composition, grammar and spelling
